started as a mountain retreat in 1894 at the hands of E. J. Kinzel –
and later a mountain hotel in 1914 – is now Townsend, Tennessee’s
most exclusive mountain community. Recently recognized in “Log
Homes Living” and “Pinnacle Living” as one of the top mountain
